Dumbarton House has various event spaces, the largest with a capacity of 200 people. With this number of attendees, couples can exchange vows in The North Garden, an outdoor area designed in 1932 with beautifully manicured lawns and a stunning red-brick arbor. The space is lined with trees and other lush greenery. Outdoor receptions can take place in The Belle Vue Room and Lower Courtyard which accommodates 140 guests for a standing reception and 80 for seated events. This elegant area with indoor and outdoor spaces boasts 13-foot ceilings and Palladian-style windows for a truly sophisticated feel. The East Park holds 60 individuals standing on the verdant lawns. Here, attendees can enjoy the many native plant species and landscaping. Lastly, The Upper Terrace also accommodates 60 guests overlooking the scenic East Park. Each and all of these event areas have breathtaking views for photographs and provide ample space for entertaining. There is also a get-ready-suite for the nearlyweds to prepare in, while up to 75 of their guests at a time peruse the museum.
