    I highly recommend Rayna for your Colorado elopement. She was knowledgable of beautiful locations, very responsive and flexible with planning, a lot of fun to work with day of, and gave us incredible photos to remember our special day!

    We loved working with Rayna!
    If you are looking for an elopement photographer in Colorado, don't look further! Since the moment I contacted her she was nothing but helpful. She asked all the right questions to get an understanding of who we were as a couple and what was important to us in our day. Also, she provided recommendations on every aspect we asked for (location, vendors, restaurant suggestions, etc) since we were not in Colorado and actually it was my first time there
    On our elopement day we had a couple hiccups which led us to be a little late, Rayna was very understanding and professional about it. She even helped us carrying our stuff! She has a very fun personality and a great humor which helped us feel comfortable when our pictures were being taken
    And obviously, we absolutely LOVED our pictures. Which she sent in a very timely manner :)

    Rayna is amazing!
    She worked within our budget and gave us everything we wanted! We had a few issues with other vendors but not Rayna. She made everything so easy which made my life much easier.
    When we first spoke on the phone I knew her personality was something I wanted on my special day. She is so kind and bubbly. Her electricity added to our wedding day! She was fun and had amazing ideas! She truly captured the love and joy of our day, not just ours but all of our guests as well. Looking through the pictures warms my heart and takes me back to the day. She caught everything we wanted and more on camera. We were thoroughly impressed and are very glad we went with Rayna, she webt above and beyond our expectations! We HIGHLY recommend her.

    We used Rayna for a post-wedding session to give us a variety of photos that we weren't able to capture on our wedding day. I absolutely loved her hands-off approach to posing, really letting us be ourselves during our shoot. She even found an incredible location near a climbing location that she was familiar with!

    My husband and I loved working with Rayna! She is professional, artistic, and really showed off our personalities in our engagement photos. She also helped us find a beautiful location for our session with amazing mountain views which was so important to us. I highly recommend choosing her as your photographer!

    My husband and I were extremely happy with our wedding photos! All of our family and friends loved them. We talked to several other photographers before choosing Rayna. Rayna provided us with an estimate that reflected how much time she would actually need to document our special day. She was spot on! Since we had a very small wedding, we were pleased that we didn't have to pay for unnecessary extra time. Even after we received our photos from her, she was prompt and responsive to any questions I had.

    Rayna is such an icredible talent, we were so lucky to have her for our big day! From the beginning she was extremely responsive and helpful recommending a few other vendors.     WOW. What can I say about Rayna and her amazing work? Since the beginning she has been nothing but perfect. She is a true artist. But more than that, she is an amazing professional too. She was sweet, she worked so hard, she was fun, thoughtful and smart, during all the process. For our engagement pictures we had our dogs around, she was super patient and took amazing pictures of our whole family together. That means a lot! Our wedding day was crazy, with all the unexpected rain and so many different factors of a non traditional multi culture, "crazy" wedding, but nothing is a challenge to her. All the pictures she took for all the occasions were just beautiful, they "said" so much. Truly amazing. I recommend her anytime to anyone. And I am already thinking when is the next occasion I will have her to register something special for me :)

    We were so happy to find Rayna! She was very professional yet fun and extremely helpful on our big day not sure what we would have done without her ! We love every single one of our beautiful photos and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

    Rayna is a fantastic photographer and a great friend.

    We have known her for many years as a fellow Pittsburgh-based climber before she went off to Colorado, and she was the only person invited twice to our wedding: once as a guest and once as a photographer.

    She managed both duties flawlessly: she made sure to get all the key wedding shots, and was of course great fun as a guest.
    She's a very professional photographer: she was excellent with the family session mayhem, had tons of ideas for cool shots (and made sure we got ours as well), and was willing to work with what we were comfortable with.

    The best part was the day after our celebration; my wife and I went rock climbing in our wedding attire and Rayna took some of the coolest photos of us out there.
    Since she's an excellent climber as well as photographer we knew she could take care of herself while getting some really memorable shots from hard-to-reach places.

    The final photos came out perfectly and we couldn't be happier.

    If I could recommend Rayna with an even higher status, I would. She was EXCELLENT from start to finish. I was nervous about hiring an out of state photographer for a number of reasons. I found her studio online and was immediately impressed with her style and her eye. I completed the online questionnaire and explained that we just wanted our ceremony captured and a handful of photos of us and our family afterward (we're pretty simplistic and easy going). I spoke to Rayna a few times on the phone and she eased my nerves about her plans and told me all about the location (I hadn't been there yet either . . . we did everything online). Once I met her (at the ceremony), she walked us through the plan for her and her partner, gave us some brief instructions, and then she disappeared behind the lens. The pictures they captured absolutely blew us away. Everyone we have shown them too agree and often compliment that they're they most beautiful wedding photos they've ever seen. After the wedding, Rayna uploaded some sneak peek photos to her blog super quickly which was exciting. We had our edited link and flash drive faster than initially promised. It has been wonderful to work with Rayna and I would recommend her to everyone. She is amazing and passionate at what she does and is easy to work with - the perfect combination. She definitely captured our wedding day perfectly! So HAPPY!

    Rayna was the perfect choice for our engagement session and wedding day! She and her assistant have great, easy-going personalities and the ability to make camera shy future husbands feel at ease. She has that special "artistic eye" I was looking for to be able to capture those perfect shots. When I look back at my wedding photos, I can see pure bliss and joy and am so glad she never missed a beat.

    Rayna and her assistant worked seamlessly throughout our wedding ceremony and reception and managed to capture moments we didn't even get to experience that day. They were extremely professional and fun, and the photos turned out even better than we could have imagined! I highly recommend Rayna McGinnis for wedding photography.

    Rayna is by far the best photographer and we absolutely loved all of the photos, every one of them felt so natural and we loved that we weren't forced into painfully awkward wedding poses for an hour! Rayna and her second photographer teamed up to get all of the shots from every angle to make sure that every moment was captured and not a thing was missed! We were blown away when we saw the pictures from our wedding and couldn't have asked for anything more amazing!

    Rayna was amazing! The photos she took of our wedding were gorgeous and really captured the mood. Not only were the photos beautiful, but Rayna is so nice and super fun to work with. I could not be more happy with our photos or our experience with Rayna!!

    Rayna is a great photographer who is passionate about her work, very talented at what she does, an excellent communicator and someone who is friendly and very easy to work with! She did an amazing job on both my and my husband's engagement and wedding photos. She only provides the best quality of her work possible which is something we really appreciated. And the photos she takes are beyond stunning! She's really good at capturing personalities and picking scenery that brings a lot of life to each picture taken. She did a great job making us comfortable and helping us have fun while taking pictures. Another thing I really appreciated is how often she kept in touch with me especially before the wedding, asking how things were going and helping me get things settled for the big day. That made things much less stressful for me. Finally I appreciated her getting both the engagement and wedding photos to my husband and I in a timely manner. The wedding photos DVD she gave us was beyond stunning! I loved how she had both the case and disc decorated with some of our photos. I highly recommend Rayna McGinnis Wedding Photography not only for engagement sessions and/or weddings but for any kind of portrait session! My husband and I are truly thankful we chose her to be our photographer, it was the perfect choice! Her prices are reasonable, she's fun and easy to work with, and the quality of her work is in my opinion the best out there.

    My wife and I cannot say enough about Rayna McGinnis' work. She is extremely talented and professional. We've received several compliments on our wedding pictures and was even asked to have them published on a local wedding blog; all of this is due to Rayna's efforts.     Rayna was so great to work with. She made us feel so at ease resulting in us all having a lot of fun with the shoot. Her knack for capturing personalities in her photos made for some amazing shots-definitely better than we ever expected. She has created memories we can look back on for years to come and still smile about. I would recommend her for any type of photography you could ever want!

    Loved Rayna and her professionalism! She did a great job taking our pictures and i was very pleased with the outcome! We had our pictures within a month after our renewal and she even sent us a free metal print of her favorite picture of us. I would recommend her services to anyone i know! Thanks Rayna!

    Rayna was extremely easy to work with and provided wonderful pictures for a great value. I was a little nervous because she had never shot a wedding at our venue, but our photos are beautiful and I received several compliments from wedding guests on the quality of the shots.

    Misleading. Very Disappointing. Unprofessional.

    I met Rayna last October at a Bridal Show in Evergreen, Co. I have to say she stood out among the rest. A few weeks later I met with her and thought that she would be the perfect fit for my special day. We instantly hit off & I felt relieved to have found my photographer so quickly, especially being new to the Denver area.
    After our meeting, Rayna put together a pricey package along with a complimentary engagement session if we decided to book with her. After reviewing the all details, My Fiance Jesse and I decided to book her and gave our deposit. (Our first mistake)

    Shortly after Mid November early December Jesse & I reached out to Rayna about scheduling our complimentary Engagement session. We expressed to her that we wanted to do a fun winter photo shoot to show our family & friends the true beauty of our new home state. Not knowing the area I expressed to Rayna what look we were going for and asked for her expertise. She suggested a few places non of which suited what we were looking for. So we compromised on a location & picked a date. As the date it got closer Rayna sent us an email explaining that she was unable to go out in temperatures lower than 50 degrees due to a "cold allergy" and need to reschedule. As you can imagine this being my first time hearing this I was appalled. After a half dozen emails & phone calls back and forth talking about our Winter Engagement session options, she waits until the week we decided to shoot that its too cold for her to go outside! Seriously you live in Colorado?!
    *Side note: I'm a nurse been working in healthcare for 8 years. Never have I ever heard of such a thing!
    Long story short.. Jesse & I decided that Rayna was not what we had hoped for & decided to terminate our contract.
    Here we are 5 months later & Rayna is still refusing to give us back our deposit, she claims that she is unable to re-book our date therefore the deposit is now non-refundable.

    There are many misleading and completely false statements in this review.

    I was upfront about my cold urticaria at Trisha and Jesse’s consultation and in the end, I tried my best to make them happy. Part of my business philosophy is to be transparent and to do everything I can to help my couples. I tried to go above and beyond for them, but it was not good enough.

    When they booked me, I gifted them an engagement session. They really wanted one, but couldn’t fit it into the budget. We discussed an autumn engagement session in Evergreen with their dogs and it sounded like a really awesome shoot.

    I informed Trisha that the session had to be completed by Thanksgiving, but they didn’t contact me until the last week of Nov to schedule. At this point the leaves were gone and they didn’t like anything that Evergreen had to offer. It wasn’t until Jesse suggested a winter engagement session, and I reminded them of my cold urticaria, that things started to go down hill. They cancelled their session two hours before we were scheduled to shoot, saying they wanted to hold off for a little while. A month later, I received an email asking to terminate their contract.

    I let them know that because I was able and willing to fulfil the contract, if they terminated, I would not be able to return their retainer. I also offered to pay another photographer to shoot their session at a location of their choice. They refused and insisted that we terminate the agreement.

    I sent over a termination agreement and three weeks later received a call from Jesse once again asking for their retainer. After talking to him, we came to an agreement. If I was able to rebook their date, I would send them back their retainer. He said that was fair and completely understood why. That’s the last I heard from them until now.

    In the end, I was willing and able to fulfill the contract. They choose to willfully terminate their contract, which included forfeiting their non refundable retainer.
