We were married on May 12, 2012, and can’t say enough good things about Audra, Bryan, and the 1587 team. We first tasted Bryan’s food at the Wedding Expo in January, then at our tasting in March, and finally at both our rehearsal dinner and wedding. The quality of his work was always outstanding, and this is coming from self-proclaimed “foodies.” All of our 85 guests raved about the appetizers, including perfectly seared scallops, as well as Bryan’s Moroccan Chicken, flawlessly executed rare tuna, and the vegan quinoa pasta with lentils. We don’t know how they do it, but 1587 knows how to make catered food look and taste like it was made-to-order.

We also used Audra as our “day-of” coordinator, which was one of the best decisions we made. She says that her services are “day-of,” but it’s really much more than that. She confirmed all of our vendors for us, and reminded us of questions we didn’t even know to ask. When we saw her detailed timeline for the wedding itself, we knew that we made the right choice; she planned for items that we hadn’t even thought of (and should have!). Audra and her assistant, Pennylayne, made sure the ceremony was well-rehearsed, and accommodated all of the special needs/requests from each of our family members - and there were a lot.

The wedding itself was flawless, thanks to Audra. A few days after the wedding we learned of a few issues that came up, which were our own fault, but we never heard a thing about them at the wedding itself. Audra took care of everything without bothering the bride and groom, and we really appreciated that. Also, many of our guests mentioned how kind, polite and considerate Audra was, which isn’t always the case with wedding coordinators. Somehow she manages to charm all of the guests and vendors into doing exactly what needs to be done, without being overly bossy and demanding.

Looking back, we wouldn’t have changed a thing about our wedding, and highly recommend 1587 and Audra Just to anyone planning a special event. They were absolutely wonderful to work with.

We were first introduced to Audra and the 1587 crew at the 2010 wedding expo. After speaking with them a few moments we knew there was something unique about this place and its staff. The restaurant was quaint, classy, with a simple elegance. Audra and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive without being pushy. The food tastings offered were delicious and we were sold. With the help and guidance from the talented chef we were able to put together a menu full of our favorite things; our options were endless, not limited.
