Banana Clips Barber Shop and Salon is a different kind of salon in that we want every customer to have a unique and satisfying experience beginning from the moment they walk through our door. As you enter, the atmosphere wraps around you like a soft, well-worn, comfortable pair of denim jeans. The unique decor with its pictures, colors, and wooden furnishings all blend to create a relaxing atmosphere for our customers. The "life of the shop" is palpable and positive with its warm earth-like tones. The partitions are created by salvaged stained glass doors from Hurricane Katrina crafted by my brother, Seth Richard and his friend Steve Garret. We are an eco-friendly salon and you will find refurnished and recycled items used throughout and hand-picked to be displayed in a classy-unique way; each one telling its own story.

We here at Banana Clips cater to our Wedding industry. We all have had many years of experience in hospitality, formal hair styling and makeup, also realizing how special it is for our brides to have a worry and stress free experience. It is our passion and creativity that set us apart from most and with that we will embrace the look that you once dreamed of as a girl. Now that you are a lady and are beginning your new journey please don't forget about how special your sweetie might feel if he were to get the same pampering. We also offer what we call a "Groom's Package" which includes a styled haircut, scalp massage, facial shave w/ hot towel, mini facial and shoulder massage. This is an old traditional way of giving a Groom's gift and we do offer gift certificates for purchase. This can be bought in advance and booked the day of or the day before the wedding day. In the salon we do offer complimentary adult beverages and snacks while visiting. We believe it is important for every customer to experience our way of giving back through our special gifts.
