The Bel Air Armory offers flexible options for newlyweds-to-be for nuptial celebrations, with both indoor and outdoor choices available. The Great Hall provides an elegant and spacious setting for wedding receptions, accommodating up to 225 people for a banquet-style event, or 400 for a cocktail reception. With original hardwood floors and high ceilings, this room offers a classic backdrop for special occasions. Couples can also choose to host their outdoor ceremony in the park, before moving into the Great Hall for their reception. Get-ready rooms are available on this property, allowing the wedding party to prepare in privacy for their big day. There is plentiful parking close to this venue.

History
The Bel Air Armory was originally built in 1915, becoming the town’s Civilian Defense Headquarters during World War II. After the war, it was repurposed as a community center, housing important services such as the Red Cross. In August of 2004, the Armory was donated to the Town of Bel Air who has since been dedicated to maintaining and renovating this historic building.

I am the Event Manager for the Town of Bel Air and manage the Bel Air Armory. I have been planning events at the Bel Air Armory since 2019 and have a background in Event planning, having worked for Goucher College and various non-profit performing arts organizations in Baltimore. This building is a hidden gem, was newly renovated in Summer 2020, and is a newer listing on weddingwire.com. It is the perfect space for someone who wants to put their own personal touch on their special day! The 6000 sq ft. space is bright, spacious, and airy with a beautiful facade resembling a castle. I am a professional chef of 15 years, graduating from York Technical Institute in Lancaster, PA. My passion for service, organization, and attention to detail has helped my career grow outside of the kitchen and allowed me to do what I love- helping clients create memorable events. Meeting so many new people, assisting them with their special occasions, & helping to make them unforgetable is the best part of my job at The Bel Air Armory.
I retired at the end of June 2022 from Harford County Parks & Recreation. I loved working with the public and trying to meet their needs. I almost immediately came to work at the Bel Air Armory. Working at the Armory allows me the opportunity to continue to meet the public's needs with all the various events held at the Armory. It is an enjoyable job where I can interact with so many different people on a regular basis.
