About

I am located in Conway, Arkansas. I am happily married with three adult kids, a beautiful granddaughter, and a small pack of chihuahuas. I'm a HUGE animal lover. I love genealogy research, musical theater, history, science and technology.

Weddings can be stressful, so I strive to provide the most stress free ceremony possible.I am always early, and I project a peaceful attitude. I want this day to be perfect for you and your family. I became ordained in 2012 and have officiated well over 1000 ceremonies since then. Love doesn’t discriminate, and neither do I.

My fee depends on what you want for your wedding ceremony. Here is the full list with details:

License Signing Only - $50 - Perfect for the couple who does not want to have a ceremony of any type.

Elopement Ceremony - $150 - This ceremony lasts about 7 minutes. It has the affirmations, the vows, and the ring exchange with a blessing. Elopements typically have less than 10 guests.

Personalized Ceremony - $300 - This is a standard ceremony with elements that are written just for you. I will send you a list of questions and will use your answers to write the perfect ceremony for you. This ceremony lasts about 17 minutes but it could be longer if you add poems and/or readings.

Unity Ceremony - $400 - This ceremony is for any unity element. (Unity examples: candle lighting unity, wine unity, love letter box, rope braiding unity, god knot, unity cross, puzzle ceremony, family vows, hand fasting, broom jumping, the tasting of the elements, sand unity, glass unity, passing of the rings, wood branding unity, circle ceremony, tree planting ceremony or a family-centered ceremony where your kids also join hands with you to say family vows. This ceremony lasts around 30 minutes but it will be longer if you add poems, readings or choose multiple Unity elements.

Travel Fee - $0.60 - Depending on the location, travel fee of 58 cents per round trip mile may apply due to distance and drive time.

Virtual Premarital Meeting - FREE - I am happy to schedule a free virtual meeting via phone or video chat. In person meetings are subject to my schedule.

Rehearsal - $100 - My attendance at rehearsal is rarely needed for unless you are having a unity ceremony. If a mileage fee applies, it will also be charged for the rehearsal unless it is on the same day as the ceremony.

Deposit and Final Payment - Non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is required. Final payment is due before wedding begins. The deposit is non-refundable but it CAN be moved to a different date.

If you want to book me, I will send you my contract along with how to make the deposit. I will also include some questions for you to complete and return at least a week prior to your wedding day. I’ll use your answers to write your ceremony. Once the deposit has been paid, you will be added to my calendar and the contract is in effect. The remaining balance due, including mileage, shall be paid prior to the ceremony.

Thank you for considering me, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Sincerely,

Betty Fernau

Last Minute Elopement

We called her at 9 am and she agreed to marry us at 12:30 despite the fact that she was busy. We showed up (due to unforeseen circumstances) at 1:50 pm and she never complained and was professional and understanding! Highly recommend!

Betty was a life saver for a couple needing to get married on February 14th in Little Rock, Arkansas. I simply messaged her for help and she replied immediately. She came to this couple's rescue and will make their dream come true of being able to be united. This is a wonderful gay couple that could only get married on February 14th. I highly recommend Betty and look forward to working with her in the future.
