About

Bhatti Indian Grill is an ultra-authentic north Indian restaurant in the heart of New York City that’s refined yet affordable, upscale and still comfortable. Take your pick from a variety of kebabs and curries and watch as our master chefs work their magic at the Bhatti.

Bhatti’s mastermind Gaurav Anand had early opportunities to train and partner with India’s master chefs and run a culinary empire in his home country. But a spark that ignited on his first trip to the Big Apple proved that he would have to act on even bigger aspirations. It was with this passion and his extensive knowledge of North Indian cuisine that he decided to open Bhatti Indian Grill in August 2009. Gaurav is also owner of Moti Mahal Delux in Manhattan's Upper East Side at 1149 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10065, as well as the newly opened Awadh on the Upper West Side at 2588 Broadway, New York, NY 10025.

At Bhatti we offer you years of experience, creative vision and flawless organization for your next event, be it an office party, a birthday, a bridal shower, a baby shower or a wedding/reception. We can orchestrate events where we bring you our signature dishes, plus whatever else you decide to choose from our menu. We are also happy to accommodate any culinary requests that will help you brand your event as a personal and unique statement of your entertaining style (vegan, vegetarian, halal, gluten free etc.) We will work closely with you to tailor your event to your budget, paying particular attention to provide value in all our services. Next level food

We hired Chef Gaurav Anand and his team for our destination wedding in Miami, FL.

This food is next level. We had him cater our pool party, sangeet, and a few entrees for our reception.

Every dish was mind-blowing. He and his staff were incredibly professional and humble. This is not your average Indian food. If you want to leave a lasting impression with your guests, look no further.

Bhatti Indian Grill (on 27/Lex) catered to our Indian wedding reception in NYC on April 8, 2012. The food was finger licking good!! A lot of brides don't really eat on the reception, but I made it a point not to miss this goodness! The staff was very polite and on time, the owner/manager Gaurav was very attentive to what I needed and made a menu that our guests can't stop talking about. Love it!!

Obnoxious drunk owner

Lovely food, can't fault that. However, the most surreal dining experience of my life. About 5 mins after I ordered, the owner walks in to a table of friends; apparently it's his birthday. He starts shouting, telling the staff to close the restaurant and ordering them to put the music up to a deafening level. If I hadn't had earphones to put in to drown out the noise, I would have walked out. Intermittently he was yelling at staff to 'tell everyone to get the f**k out' (I'm about 2 metres away at this point), and would tell any unfortunate hopeful diners that they were closed (this was 1.5 hours before advertised closing). Restaurant staff were evidently embarrassed and incapable of doing anything since the owner is clearly a drunk tyrant. I would in no way recommend you giving your custom to an owner so disdainful of his customers - if you want to have a party in your own restaurant, close it to customers. But yeah, the food was nice, compliments to the chef.
