We loved our wedding at Buttermilk!

We got married in the barn at Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa in September of 2023. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend. The folks who work there are all extremely nice, flexible, and chill. It really felt like we had the place to ourselves and the staff was respectful and supportive to make the weekend very special.

Property:

First, the property is incredibly gorgeous and perfect for a wedding. Friends and family stayed on property and all of the residences were lovely, both the on property houses and the inn itself. Guests enjoyed going on walks during the days, seeing the animals near the barn, and the free breakfast at the inn is SO GOOD. My wife and I stayed in Pony’s Pad, which was an awesome home base for the weekend.

Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party:

We chose to have our rehearsal dinner at the patio near the inn. They have a big pizza oven and do buffet-style dinner with a bar. We had some tricky weather (it was raining and chilly) and rented some heaters for the patio. With the tent flaps down and some heaters (rented) it was perfectly comfortable on the patio.

After the rehearsal dinner, we did a welcome party with some snacks. It was also cozy and casual. We had some friends play music and used a bluetooth speaker when they were finished. The patio fit 50+ people comfortably for mingling and drinks.

Ceremony and Reception:

We were originally going to be married at the pond, but had to move to the Waterfront Patio due to construction at Henry’s restaurant. The change of plans was smooth and the location was stunning. It’s an incredible view of the Hudson, you really can’t complain.

The reception in the barn was fantastic. We had around 75 people, it felt like the right size for that group. We fit everyone comfortably at tables with room for a dance floor. It was intimate and cozy and everyone danced like crazy. It was a great time. The food was solid, especially the desserts.

Overall we had a fantastic experience at Buttermilk. It’s very nice without feeling too upscale or pretentious, and the venue knows how to throw a wedding. It was very special and exactly what we hoped. Highly recommend.

January 21st Wedding in the barn

I recently had my wedding in the Barn at Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa and to say the entire day was amazing would be an understatement!!!! Our event coordinator Morgan Doyle was there every step of the way and helped make our day run smoothly and it was PERFECT!!! The food was fantastic, our cake made by one of their bakers Alex was TO DIE FOR!!! I can’t recommend having a wedding at the venue enough !!!!

So easy to work with, the staff at Buttermilk Falls truly go above and beyond.

My partner and I planned a wedding in less than 6 months at Buttermilk Falls. From the minute we stepped on the property, we knew we loved it. The grounds are so well kept, the event planners and staff are so friendly! There are several options for your big day and no hidden fees when working with the folks here. Our event planner Morgan was phenomenal. She kept us on track, checking in regularly and responding in a timely manner to our every small question. Once the time came for our wedding weekend, Buttermilk Falls exceeded our expectations. Our families loved our welcome event with freshly made pizza and the best charcuterie. The kids in our family loved exploring the grounds and seeing all the animals. Our wedding day was magical despite it raining precisely during our outdoor ceremony, and the barn was the perfect spot for our group of 75 to eat, drink, and dance the night away! THE FOOD AT BUTTERMILK FALLS IS ALSO PHENOMENAL. Truly cannot be said enough. The ingredients are fresh, the menus are thoughtful and the staff is incredible. I highly recommend this venue and would absolutely plan a wedding here again if I had to do it over.
