Renovated in 1862 to include some of its signature architecture, the chateau was again restored in 1886. Throughout the years it has acted as a base for royal residents, convent, WWII headquarters, and nursery. The property entered its current form in 2013.

Family and Glamour at Chateau de Jalesnes Wedding

Chateau de Jalesnes has a lot to offer. A private chapel, grand terrace, formal garden, 3 galleries, grand staircase, bridal suite, 19 guest suites, private chef. Plus Jenny, the manager, was very knowledgable and helpful. She put us in touch with the Michelin trained chef, the wine master, a local florist and hair stylist. We brought our own wedding planner and make up artist.
My dad walked me down the grand staircase and we said our vows in the music salon at the bottom of the staircase where my husband to be was waiting. Overall, it was what I had always dreamed of, and made traveling to France very worthwhile.

Romance and convience at chateau de jalesnes

This is a spectacular venue for a wedding, and the wedding co-ordinator, Jenny, worked tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly on the day, so a huge hoorah to her and her staff.

The chateau has 19 private suites including a stunning romantic bridal suite complete with his and hers bathtubs. There are stairs and an elevator, and many sparkling vintners locally to choose from.
The chateau has been tastefully restored to maintain the history and grandeur of the original. There are 3 co-joined reception galleries for dining and dancing. We chose to marry in the onsite marble chapel which was divine as well as convenient. To have all the guests stay on site, marry on site, and celebrate on site as well as take the bridal suite and stay there for our honeymoon was a perfect set up and a great package price to do so.
It was just what we wanted, and our guests thanked us for an experience of a lifetime.

Fairytale Wedding at Chateau de Jalesnes

Chateau de Jalesnes wedding co-ordinator, Jenny, was extremely helpful and efficient and inviting. We wanted a romantic fairytale wedding in the turret in the wooded glade. We chose to drive off in a horse and carriage for a ride around the chateau grounds before exiting to the reception. The reception was held in three galleries for dining and dancing, and the rehearsal dinner was on the grand terrace. Guests strolled through the formal gardens with champagne in hand before and after the reception dinner. The service was excellent, and we recommend it to our friends.
