When my daughter got engaged, we were feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of wedding planning. We found Lisa & Cherish the Day online, read all the great reviews and contacted her. She was prompt in returning our inquiry and very friendly and professional in an online consultation and we decided on her quickly as our wedding planner/coordinator. A wonderful decision! Lisa is very attentive to detail, knowledgeable about the wedding industry & vendors in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area, and had even worked weddings at our venue (Hotel Millwright in Amana) so knew the property and staff there (which was extremely helpful). She met with the bride & groom in person & online and was very attentive to emails/texts from them and me. She helped keep my daughter accountable for each step in the planning process so they didn't get behind in planning and kept in touch with our vendors and on top of our contract details. She brings many ideas to the table from weddings she's been part of in the past but also mainly wants to help execute the day to include your dreams and desires. One of the best things was the TIMELINE she put together to give to the wedding party to keep everyone on the same page and things running smoothly for makeup, hair, pictures, etc, on the wedding day. Lisa did a super job running the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she and her husband, Scott, were incredible - keeping things on time and they were ready to help with whatever issues came up with a smile. Lisa is able to take charge gracefully so you can relax and enjoy the day. She also brought an awesome bag of emergency items that was very helpful. We received many comments from the wedding party, family and guests about how smooth and non-stressful the wedding felt which was due to Lisa & Cherish the Day! My son has been in multiple weddings lately and said none were as well planned & executed as this one. I consider Lisa & Scott friends and would HIGHLY recommend Cherish the Day to anyone - they helped create a storybook wedding for my daughter and son-in-law!

We used Lisa for Day of Services and it really helped ease our minds going into the big day as she took over communication with vendors and met to organize the timeline for the day of. She listened to what we wanted to put it into action. Can't say enough good things about this service, laid back, easy to work with and professional with us and all vendors!

There is not enough space to write about all the great things that Lisa at Cherish The Day did for us. I lived two states away and needed someone I could trust to work with that was local to the wedding site. From day one, Lisa put us at ease, was very informative, professional and caring. She has a lot of experience working with the vendors and interfaced with them all. She even helped us chase down vendors who weren’t responding to our calls/emails. Lisa was quick to respond to our questions throughout our planning. She interfaced with church staff during the rehearsal and wedding. She had her partner overseeing set up at the reception venue. They even set up the dessert table for us! Lisa was quick to assess further needs at the reception when she arrived. There was no background at the Photo Booth area so she suggested we move the arch/greenery/signage behind the head table after dinner to provide a photo back drop. It was perfect! Lisa is reasonably priced but is worth much more. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
