This place is amazing! It’s beautiful and spacious and has so much history and meaning to these villages. If you love Hatteras- this is the place to get married or throw a huge reception like we did! We put a tent in the middle of the property that held 150 people. All the buildings and museums were open so our guests could explore. There are bathrooms on the property but we brought our own generator. It was simply perfect.

In this instance, Chicamacomico LifeSaving Station was used for a Coast Guard retirement ceremony. The staff was very accommodating throughout the process to ensure the a successful ceremony. I'd also like to thank the staff for allowing use of the upstairs offices so that all of the Coast Guard men and women who attended could change into/out of their uniforms. The site was well-maintained and made it easy for the organizers to set-up for/break-down from the ceremony.
