We couldn’t be happier with our choice of going with Foggy Mountain! Not only was it an absolutely beautiful venue but Karen made the whole process so easy! We had our ceremony here as well and it was perfect! Foggy Mountain also takes care of your catering and alcohol! Not to mention you can stay in the lodging that is on site!

Karen at Foggy Mountain was the BEST coordinator I could have asked for to help plan out our wedding day. She knew exactly how to organize everyone the day of the wedding and always took our opinions very seriously. She went above and beyond to make our day stress-free and special. They also use their in-house chef to prepare meals for weddings. He was not only extremely helpful, but his food is AMAZING. Our guests kept raving about the food. During our taste test, he knew my husband and I really liked a particular dish (Polish Explosion) but didn't think it was the best choice for our buffet. As we walked up to the buffet on our wedding day, he was standing there with a big plate of it prepared for us! It was such an extra thoughtful special touch that took their service from excellent to over the top! We couldn't have asked for a better venue or professional group of people to work with us.

If there is one way to describe Foggy Mountain it’s genuine.

I was looking for a place to have a wedding rehearsal and to hold all of my bridal party and out of town guests. Upon driving onto the property, I felt something magical there. My then Fiance and I took time to come up for Foggy Restaurant’s Sunday Brunch where we got to sample some of their food and we were completely impressed. My husband and I love going to the best dining spots in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and our hometown of Lancaster, and the food was tasty and perfect for our fellow foodie guests! That brunch turned into a dinner, to try more of the menu and we were excited to commit to booking the entire Cedar Lodge and Pine Lodge for our bridal party and out of town guests for our December 2018 wedding.

After meeting Jim and Karen, we wished we would have been able to book our entire wedding there, but we had already booked another venue. There is a slight regret of not finding Foggy Mountain sooner.

If you are a bride that wants to be taken care of like you are family, Karen will do all she can to make sure your event is perfect. Foggy Mountain gives you more than a wedding, when you dine and lodge there you really do become family. Foggy is a place to stay over and over with familiar faces far after your wedding is over, you can return there to dine on the patio, or near the fireplace in the winter. I have watched Jim circulate in the restaurant striking up conversations with his patrons and welcoming them and making them feel at home. Angie, the restaurant manager has a great personality and take care of your every need. The customer service isn’t just top notch, it is the definition of hospitality.

Everyone at Foggy took care of all of our needs for our December wedding. From a place to take photos before the ceremony to endless firewood delivered for our gatherings around the fireplace each night, to making sure all food was delivered and tables were ready in the for our low-key rehearsal dinner of pizza and wings with friends and family around the pool table in the basement of the Cedar Lodge.

We had our wedding at a separate venue, but we spent most of our Wedding Weekend at Foggy. We had a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a catered rehearsal dinner, endless firewood, and genuine customer service. Did I mention, once all the guests left, my husband and I had a secluded honeymoon suite all to ourselves? We were able to celebrate our first night as a married couple in front of a fireplace with champagne and leftover wedding cake, as well as take out from the restaurant.

There are plenty of Instagram worthy places in the Laurel Highlands, but not only is Foggy Mountain Picture perfect but it is people-perfect too! The whole staff there: Jim, Karen, Angie, Amanda, CJ, and Matt will go above and beyond to make your time there memorable, comfortable and enjoyable! Why pay more for just a pretty venue when you could have a memorable one as well as a home away from home? You will not regret holding your event, getaway, or wedding at Foggy Mountain!
