Hello! Welcome. My name is Franny Civitano and I am wedding officiant, day-of coordinator, and ceremony ghostwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. and works in all five boroughs and beyond.

I believe that a partnership between two people is strongest when those people count themselves as individuals—whole, complete, and flawed individuals—who make a choice every day to continue their partnership. You want to make each other better, and together you are stronger. Whether this partnership takes the form of legal marriage, life-long togetherness, or something else entirely, it requires diligence, forgiveness, and a little magic.

Your ceremony is arguably the most important part of your wedding. It will set the tone for the rest of your day, and your marriage. I want it to feel like it was written just for you, and couldn’t belong to anyone else. I have a lot of ideas and will express those in my own way on paper, but I never perform a ceremony unless I know that the couple stands behind it and feels like it is representative of you and your partnership.

Services Offered

I will work with you to make sure your wedding ceremony is exactly what you want it to be, whether that be a short and sweet elopement, or a perfectly unique ceremony that brings your story to life.

• Officiant + day-of coordinator: starting 45 days in advance, I help create a wedding timeline for you and become the point of contact for your day-of needs, including performing a custom ceremony.
• Custom ceremony: about 15 minutes in length, you and your partner answer a questionnaire so I can get to know you as individuals and how you are together in a partnership, including how you met, what kept you together, and what you're looking forward to.
• Simple ceremony: about 5 minutes in length, I have two pre-written ceremonies to choose from that are short, sweet, and perfect for elopments or those on a budget.
• I write, you perform: is your friend or family member officiating your wedding, but they aren't sure where to start, or they'd like some editing help? I also work with couples and/or family members to create a ceremony to perform on their own.
• Just the legal stuff: don't want a ceremony, you just want to be legally married? I can do that, too.
