Once we started wedding planning the first big decision I wanted to make was to find the right venue. We looked all over NJ/Long Island/NYC and spent weeks traveling to and speaking with various vendors. They were all the same, run of the mill places. I wanted a venue where all of my wedding guests could stay onsite, and where we could plan multiple events without breaking the bank. Then we saw some extremely expensive ones, and I mean $100-200k just for the venue alone, which is CRAZY! Like, no thanks. Enter Full Moon Resort. From the moment we met with their team we know this was a special place. Nestled in the heart of the Catskills (Big Indian, NY) they have over 100 acres of property and numerous locations onsite where you can host your welcome dinner, reception, breakfast/lunch and after party, as well as unique housing for all of your guests. The entire staff at the front desk, specifically Tia Williams, seriously deserve some kind of award. They were all extremely responsive, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Tia helped me (on a short time frame) organize all of my 100+ guests into the right rooms. She also helped with our invitations and ensuring we had the right wording, as it was a two-day destination event with nuances. There was never a time that I emailed and didn't have a response within 24 hours. The onsite event staff, specifically Kayla Friedman, made all of the planning so easy. Digital planning forms helped us stay organized and guided us throughout the entire planning process (no we did not have a wedding planner - just the staff at Full Moon)! From our tasting, to the flow of the entire weekend, nothing was overlooked by this team. On my wedding day I even had two full-time FMR assistants (Nikki and Gigi) that attended to my every need! They helped me setup all of my decorations and signs for all of my events, and even some floral arrangements. These ladies even packaged up extra food for us to take home and delivered it to our room (because yes it was that good). On top of everything, they also made vendor coordination seamless. Additionally, my nephew has special needs and needed a wheelchair ramp installed, which the staff made happen! They also built out a special changing area for him during the wedding reception. My sister was shocked, and mentioned that she had never received such proactive support. And.. oh.. the food - WAS AMAZING. WOW. And I'm picky. Not your typical gluttonous wedding meal slathered in cheese, gravy, and oil, but an incredibly fresh selection that our guests loved, as well as a delicious wedding cake made onsite with two flavors. The rooms onsite were also extremely clean, well maintained, and were perfect for us and our guests. The entire property with its numerous locations including The Old Barn, the newly built Pavilion, Lower Grove for ceremonies, and the Roadhouse for your after party, is just like something out of a story book. Everyone truly listened and cared about our experience. We never ever felt like a number, or just another guest. I can't thank everyone enough for making our wedding weekend one we will never forget! We absolutely plan to come back for years to come ;).

We had our dream wedding at FMR in November 2023. The staff was impeccable (especially my day of coordinators, I could not have survived the day without them)! I brought my decor/florals and they set it all up for me based on my vision and it ended up absolutely beautiful. Food and drinks were fantastic at both our rehearsal BBQ, reception, and after party, as well as the service. The after party at the roadhouse was sooo fun! Our accommodations were gorgeous, and our family and friends loved theirs as well. We were so lucky to have found FMR, it was truly a dream wedding weekend thanks to their professionalism and attention to detail.

It was the best decision we ever made. From the moment we first met with Paul for a tour, we knew it was the perfect, most unique venue and that it would make for an insanely memorable weekend with family and friends hanging with each other all weekend.

Tia and Corinne were a tremendous help in coordinating reservations and answering our questions as we assigned accommodations for our guests. Throughout the wedding weekend, Morgan, Nikki, Kayla, and Claire were simply amazing, going above and beyond to assist with everything we needed, even walking our dog and tidying up our room during our reception.

While planning a wedding at Full Moon may seem like more work than a traditional (boringgggg) wedding, the dedicated team at Full Moon made every step of the process easier and completely worth it.

Our wedding weekend will be unforgettable for us and anyone who attended, and we couldn't be happier with our choice.
