Historic Hope Foundation is a venue that hosts weddings, wedding receptions, anniversary celebrations, baby showers, family reunions, and birthday, retirement, and Christmas parties. We are located in a rural location approximately four miles outside of Windsor, North Carolina. There are two historic houses at our site, the 1803 Hope Mansion (home of N.C. Governor David Stone) and the 1763 King-Bazemore House.

Facilities and Capacity

This estate offers both indoor and outdoor event spaces for those celebrating their nuptials with loved ones. Couples can choose to wed on the lawn outside the mansion or King-Bazemore House and host their reception outdoors or indoors in the Tyler Room, which accommodates up to 200 guests. Historic Hope also offers a "post-in-the-ground" barn site for more relaxed and country-themed events.

Services Offered

The venue accommodates engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding showers, ceremonies, and receptions. Items such as chairs, tables, and linens can be rented from the property, as well as glassware and china. The venue can organize the cleanup after the event for an additional fee, allowing the newlyweds to relax in the aftermath of their special day. Newlyweds will also be able to access the room the day before and after the event to organize the setup. This venue’s peak season runs from April through October. On-site locations are available for bridal and engagement photography for a fee. Portraits taken inside the historic houses are also available by appointment only.
