On May 28th, 2014 two of our founding members (Nathanael Jackson and Will Reuger) decided to walk 10 miles to their last day of high school. During the hike they talked about their dreams for the future. Of the many goals and dreams they discussed, the one that stuck out the most was the idea to start a media company that specialized in creating content for small businesses. During the walk Nathanael found a key on the side of the road with the letters and numbers HY14 inscribed on it. This inspired the name Horizon Yield 2014. We created a club and allowed all our friends that were interested to join. Enter Jonathon who was an aspiring angler and photography enthusiast (the third founding member of HY14). Years passed and we didn't think much about the dream we had started that day. Nathanael went to school at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, Will attended a couple different Universities before deciding to do online schooling while working full time at BestBuy, and Jonathon continued working toward his dream of being a Pro Angler. Meanwhile each of us worked on projects that gave us the skills to achieve the dream we had started. Fast forward to 2018, with the three now living and working together to build the company they had dreamed of years before.
