At the age of 17, Ms. Elizabeth was chosen to perform a Solo at Carnegie Hall in NYC and at 18, she won "The National Young Artist Competition" and performed on National Television.
Elizabeth attended the University of Wisconsin (Madison) on full scholarship which included much coveted, prestigious Elsa Sawyer Scholarship and received her BA, BS, MA, and MS with emphasis on Performance of the Violin, Viola, & Piano, Music Theory, Acoustics, Chemistry, Botany, and 19th Century Traditional American Literature. She has had the good fortune to study with world-class Musicians including Dr. Suzuki, Dr. Marvin Rabin, Dr. James Froseth, Richard Blum, Gary Karr, Kato Havos, Eugene Fodor, & Otto Werner Mueller.
After graduating from UW, she furthered her Performance studies at Oxford University in England on full scholarship and studied with the renowned Violinist and Educator, Kato Havas. And she was chosen to perform with the renowned and elite Oxford University Chamber Strings. Additionally, she attended Loras College and Kennesaw College to study Statistical Analysis, Acoustics, and Computer MIDI Programming. Ms. Protteau founded and conducted the esteemed Geneva Lakes Civic Symphony in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Elizabeth is the lead player and founder of the prestigious Houston String Music which has subsidiaries including Lake Conroe String Music and The Woodlands String Music. Her musicians include 25 of the finest Professional Musicians from the Houston metro area who join her in sharing their skills for The U.S. Department of State Functions, Civic Events, Corporate affairs, Dinner Parties, Churches, Holiday Celebrations as well as Weddings & Receptions.
