If you are looking to have a wedding that feels like you are in your own back yard, then this is the place to go. The venue is beautiful, has ample parking and an extremely helpful staff (Brittany, the coordinator) is wonderful. There are a couple of places you can get married and/or have your reception on the property and not feel overwhelmed. They have a stage for the band already in place (which I thought was very good and they have a tent to cover them). Their pricing is also excellent. James River Cellars is an unexpected treat so close to downtown Richmond. The grounds give the feel of an outdoor, private event a million miles away from the city, while being situated just fifteen minutes from downtown. The indoor space is private, well-decorated and perfect for up to 70 guests. The owners, event managers and volunteers make sure that events run smoothly and do everything in their power to make sure clients have an easy experience. This is one of the best bargains within thirty miles for an event venue. In addition to their unbelievable professionalism, they produce fantastic wine!!!
