We had a wonderful experience with Katie and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for hair and make-up services. She is so easy to talk to and does a great job of translating what you ask for into beautiful results. Everyone in my party, from moms to flower girls had something done and raved about how great Katie was.

She has a great technique that makes even the girls who never wear make-up feel comfortable and confident about their look.

Her make-up application was flawless and stood up to my super oily skin and near 100 degree heat. Unfortunately I had a terrible haircut a week before my wedding(which was only supposed to be a trim) and she was able to rework the style I had from my consultation into a sweet up-do.

I was looking for a talented and affordable hair stylist and make-up artist for my wedding. I wanted to look elegant but not too done up. No one was meeting my expectations - some may say that I'm picky but I just wasn't finding the people who can interpret what I wanted (having pink on your dress does NOT mean your eyes should have a glob of hot pink on it, people!!). I set up a trial session with Katie after being referred to her by someone we both know.

I have a habit of judging my vendors as soon as I walk into their business environment because everything about it tells me more of their character. We had the trial session at Katie's in home studio. She presented a neat and comfortable place where I was able to relax amidst all my wedding planning chaos. She was friendly, professional, and really listened to what I wanted. Since she was able to translate what I wanted, especially the make-up, I booked her right after the trial (for myself as well as my bridesmaids) - she seemed to know the difference between flashy and trashy.

Katie pleasantly surprised me on my wedding day. I remember discussing hair ornaments, such as crystals or flowers, at trial. I ended up not being able to find anything special for my hair but did not mention this to Katie. She came to my house prepared with beautiful silk flower hairpins for the whole bridal party. I had mentioned the colors of the wedding and she made the pins just the perfect shade that matched our outfits! She made these hairpins herself so they're one of a kind. You can see some of the amazing hairpins in the pictures she posted. The hairstyle turned out even better than the one she did for the trial. Her gorgeous hairpins completed the style. The make-up, of course, was fabulous! She made me look elegant and alert every moment of the day, even when I was dead tired. Everyone was asking about Katie that day day.

I had such a positive experience with Katie on my wedding day that we are now in a permanent relationship! :) She has become my official hair/makeup person - she made me like make up. I have booked her for every wedding that I've been invited to since my own event.
