Sarah and her team have been absolutely impeccable from start to finish. From planning to execution, Sarah has been with us and always asked the most thoughtful and intentional questions and is extremely detail oriented. The goal was for us to feel like a guest at our own wedding and that couldn't be more true. There were so many things that she and her team did, large and small, that made our day truly special and went off without a hitch. We can't recommend Kindred Wedding and Events more!

When we first started thinking about our wedding, I was pretty overwhelmed. We wanted our wedding day to truly feel like "us," but were uncertain where to begin. On top of that, I was worried about wedding planning taking over my life. I particularly dreaded working with vendors and all the follow up and communications that comes with it -- even for a simple 50-person wedding. Once we hired Sarah, everything became so easy. Foremost, she helped us to uncover and name our priorities, and build our wedding day budget and choices around that (genius). And, with her leading the event, I didn't have the weight of managing a daunting to-do list, which saved me so much time and energy throughout the year. Multiple times I proclaimed to my fiance, "There's no way we could do this without her." He agreed.

My favorite part of having Sarah as our coordinator was the peaceful feeling of trust -- we just felt completely secure with her, and like we knew she would ensure everything went as well as it possibly could. And it did! She handled unexpected difficulties professionally and with a positive attitude. Overall, the planning experience and our wedding day itself were better than we could have imagined.

In our search for a wedding planner, we came across their website and were surprised by the amount of free, insightful resources and transparency around costs which others in the space just aren't doing. Looking at their portfolio, it was very apparent that each wedding was tailored to the couple and had different looks, which made us feel like we would be able to work together to make ours feel like us. We can confirm, not only did we feel like it was us, so did our guests. 

2. How was it to work with Sarah?

Working with Sarah was a partnership that provided us with tools to manage our finances, vendors and relieved the stress from the wedding planning process and the wedding day itself.She was consistent and dependable when it came to communication, meaning that she would always set an expectation on when we would hear from her and always kept that promise. This gave us a lot of confidence throughout the days leading up to the wedding.When she came to the initial venue visit, she came prepared with all the questions we needed answers to but didn’t think about ourselves. She saved us a lot of headache that we would have if not for her being there with us.She offered a list of vendors that we chose from for every category and we were very happy with each of their work. 

3. How did the wedding day go?

On the day of the event, Sarah took care of everything and we did not have to stress about a single vendor or focus on anything other than being present at the wedding and spending it with our loved ones. We remember thinking “I guess we get to just have fun today?” and that’s exactly what we did.
