Thomas S. Welsh Activity Center at Lake St. Clair Metropark

Tired of looking at dark banquet halls for your next event? Your guests will love – and remember – the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the plaza and Lake St. Clair at Lake St. Clair Metropark. Close to the parking lot and within walking distance to the beach, the Activity Center offers seating up to 300 persons, a raised stage and a warming kitchen. The terrazzo floor is perfect for dancing.

Couples can get married anywhere in the park, including the gazebo on the point with beautiful Lake St. Clair as a backdrop, on the beach, or even on a boat in the marina!

A great venue for the nature-inclined!

We held our wedding at Lake St. Clair Metropark's Huron Point Gazebo and Thomas Welsh Activity Center. Everything was beautiful—we got lots of compliments from our guests about both locations. The staff was very friendly and responsive and answered all of our questions leading up to the event. During the wedding, they were around to help with all the little things when we gave them a call. We loved how wheelchair accessible the park and facilities were for our loved ones. The police presence and firm regulations have their pros and cons, but overall, we were very happy we decided to have our wedding here.

The Lake St Clair Metropark was great. They were patient and helped us with everything we needed. The venue is gorgeous. Everyone loved it.

We loved having our wedding at Indian Springs Metropark! We worked with both Tamra and Joe, I was a little nervous when the coordinator changed a few months before our wedding but the transition was smooth and we didn't notice any difference or hiccups at all! The venue is beautiful and ceremony location is amazing.

Unbelievable! We Love DJ-ing Weddings here!!! Not only is the Florida Room great for a reception but the Beach is a Beautiful View for a Ceremony! We wish more couples would have their big day here because you cannot beat the view, especially when the sun sets on the water, no better place for Pictures.
