We found Lauren through a friend who had an amazing experience with her and it was no different for us. We are writing a review about two services, the engagement photos and the wedding photos.

Engagement photos

We planned the engagement photos a little late in our timeline. Lauren Louise was the consummate professional. She was in constant communication from the first email, prepping style and up to the day of the shoot and after. She readily responded to all of our time rushed questions with careful thought and considerations that made all the difference. Given how tight our timeline was, this amazing communication was greatly appreciated.

She worked with us to narrow down the perfect venue given our shortened timetable. We decided on the beautiful venue of the Georgetown waterfront and the Kennedy center. She had previously shot there and it showed. She knew all the angles and settings to work from. She arranged for the perfect shooting schedule, timing it so the golden hour coincided with our Kenney Center shoot. Lauren also put us at ease with her humor and warm personality. We are not instagram influencer photo savvy, but she fostered a comfortable and intimate space in front of her lense. She also brought an assistant to help capture multiple angles so we had a lot to choose from. Her passion for photography and capturing life’s moments is evident and undeniable.

The photos are stunning. She even worked a bit of magic to capture passing helicopters, right at sunset. That picture became our website’s background for the duration of our planning. We love it.

Wedding photos

The wedding photos were beautiful. It’s not an easy road to such amazing photographs, but Lauren expertly guided us through them.

Her attention to detail was amazing. She previewed the venue, worked through the onsite limitations, communicated frequently with our wedding coordinator to plan shots even before the wedding week. Leading up to the wedding, Lauren worked with Stephanie, our amazing wedding coordinator, to solidify the shooting schedule. They seamlessly integrated the photo sessions into the schedule of the day.

On the wedding day, Lauren was a miracle worker. She wrangled all 22 of us in the wedding party, managing a wide array of personalities,, along with all our family and friends. Our wedding occurred at two sites, the ceremony at our church and the reception at the Watergate hotel rooftop and ballroom. Through the entire process, Lauren and her team were able to capture both traditional, candid, and surprising moments during our day.

She split her team into two to follow both the groom and bridal parties. The coordination between the two teams told our wedding narrative seamlessly. They were photographing machines, as they strove to capture both the intimate and grander elements of the day while blending seamlessly into the background.

After the wedding, she worked with us to design the perfect albums. The process was so easy with online access to the photographs we liked. All we had to do was just pick our favorites and she put together an amazing compilation of those photographs. The albums are physically exceptionally crafted and sturdy enough that we consider them to be future heirlooms.

We would unreservedly recommend Lauren Louise to anyone. Her professionalism, artistry, and unparalleled craftsmanship made our day unforgettable and timeless. We are very grateful, and look forward to using her services for future life events.

We had the pleasure of working with Lauren as our photographer, Elizabeth as our coordinator and Kristin as assistant coordinator for our wedding day.

We initially chose LLC because Lauren's photographs are absolutely beautiful, and we wanted the photographer and coordinator as a team, which we thought would help with communication and styling.

Lauren takes stunning photographs. End of story. She has confidence in what she is doing (not always a given!!), knows her shots, she knows what looks good and what doesn't, she knows how to ease people up for couple shots (which we were definitely in need of because otherwise it would have just been standing staring at her the whole time with big goofy grins). She made great use of the stormy lighting and from what I have seen so far from our sneak-peaks, these are going to be the best pictures we will probably ever have taken of ourselves!!

Elizabeth really went over and above as a day-of coordinator. She was so great at staying in touch in the run up to the wedding and helping out with getting details finalised. If you want someone who is a genuinely lovely person, professional and personable, this is your wedding planner. She is also a great problem-solver. We had a tornado hit ten miles from our venue and flash flooding. Not an issue. Barely flinched. Everything that was planned for outside got moved seamlessly inside, including rejigging decorations that had a very set space. She did a great job of making everything look really calm on the surface when there is no way there wasn't at least a teeny bit of panic/craziness underneath!

Kristin was always there when you needed her, she was quick, efficient, friendly. An awesome assistant. She also did a great job of getting the bridal suite beautifully candlelit when the weather got gross and it really made it feel like a very special space.

All in all, a thoroughly well deserved five star review!!

Lauren and her team have been phenomenal throughout the entire process of planning my wedding which has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. I would highly recommend her entire team, overall service is unparalleled and certain to amaze you. I have been completely in awe of her services since our very first meeting. She is experienced in all aspects of the planning process and very invested in the success of her clients event far beyond beautifully capturing one of your most memorable moments. She openly offers invaluable advice to couples and goes above and beyond to help in any way that she can. She is extremely well organized and meticulous. Although I have not yet had my wedding, I am confident I will be beyond pleased with the completed product. She was able to seamlessly put my fiancé and I, whom are both camera shy, at ease and capture beautiful pictures and moments during our engagement session. We were blown away by the amazing photos and had 100s of favorites to choose from. She also took time between photos to give suggestions on other vendors and ideas as she was one of our first vendors hired. She was also the first vendor to reach out at the start of the COVID-19 to explore our options and again give invaluable information and advice about entire planning process. Capturing this once in a lifetime moment is priceless; Lauren understands that and will surmount expectations!
