Matt was the first vendor that we booked for our wedding. This was the most important vendor for me, every couple has certain things that are more important to them and photographs was something that fell at the top of our list. We booked Matt off of work that we had seen when looking at different photographers in the area. Matt's work speaks for itself, but theres another important piece of working with a photographer and thats the person behind the lens. Having someone take multiple pictures of you (in this case, all day long) can be uncomfortable for some people and they might feel awkward but that wasn't the case with working with Matt. Not only did he make my husband feel at ease and relaxed (thank god) but he's just an awesome guy to hang out with. He's someone you want at your wedding, on your guest list. He just makes the day fun and light hearted. We had such a blast with him that day and can't wait to hang out with him again next time we are in the OBX. Matt also gave us a discount on his charter the week of the wedding and took my husband and his wedding party out fishing. They had such a great time and I'd also recommend any couple to have Matt take you fishing, he knows his fishing. The second shooter, John who worked with Matt at our wedding was such an awesome guy too, we didn't feel like the vendors we hired were their working and doing a job, we genuinley felt that they were just hanging out with us having a fun night and I think that's really something special. Matt has a close relationship with lots of the vendors in the OBX and I think that's really important when you have a bunch of vendors together that work so well off of one another. Our wedding photos really captured the emotion of our wedding day which you don't always see when you look at wedding photos. I couldn't recommend Matt Lusk more. He went above and beyond on not just our wedding day, but for our engagement session as well. Matt got every single shot that I wanted plus some. You never had to worry about what type of pose to do because he was filled with ideas. He even got my 2 year old daughter to smile for pictures. He was engaged with the entire wedding party on everything we wanted. Our pictures turned out amazing, there is no way I can pick out a favorite. He got our pictures back to us incredibly fast and I haven't stopped looking at them sense. I would absolutely recommend Matt Lusk for any of your photography needs, especially weddings.
