I cannot recommend Mía enough! Nay was our wedding coordinator and she was so helpful in planning everything. We originally kept in contact through email and switched to What’s App out of convenience, she was always so easy to reach and kept in constant communication during the weeks before the wedding. I found most of my vendors through wedding wire (dj, photographer, hair and make-up) and booked the florist through Mía (they only work with one, Erika who did amazing). My husband and I had arrived in Tulum a couple of days before the wedding as we had never had the chance to look at the venue (Nay sent plenty of videos and pictures so we were able to save money by not traveling to see the venue beforehand) and to put the final details in. Unfortunately Nay had a family emergency and we were put in Dante’s care. I was a little disappointed that after months of working with Nay I wasn’t able to meet her but Dante was absolutely amazing! Nay had created a Google spreadsheet to put in details such as music choices, meal choices for the guest, table assignments, visions for decor, etc and that was so helpful and ensuring My husband and I wouldn’t have to worry about anything the day of.

On the day of the wedding Dante came up to my hotel room at the Selina to finalize my bouquet and I was able to let him know of any final details. My dad wasn’t able to make it because of a visa situation and so I walked down the aisle by myself, Dante fixed my train before and was so helpful the whole entire night. He hardly asked questions and was there all night making everything go flawlessly.



The only thing was the week of the wedding we were reminded of the permit we had to pay to the city for having a wedding on the beach and it had to be paid in cash, after paying most of our vendors in case we had to reach out to our Maid of Honor who hadn’t arrived yet to bring cash. Not a big deal but keep that in mind.




Although the wedding was on the beach all the guests at the beach club were super respectful and no one walked behind our alter. We had three outside people that tried to dance on our dance floor but my MOH was quick to kick them out and they left.

We heard from sooooo many of our guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been too and I have to agree.


Here are some tips that I would’ve found useful:


-We paid for late-night snacks and unfortunately many of our guests were in dance mode and didn’t get a chance to eat them, I had some tacos and they were amazing.


-The food was amazing we went with Menu 1.


- We did not go with a cake and I’m so glad we didn’t, our guests were so concerned with dancing that they hardly ate the mousse that was for dessert.


-The hor’dourves were so good, we went with Catch of the day ceviche tostada, Tlacoyo with beans and nopalitos salad, Stuffed Jalepeno with beef Steak, Churro with cajeta sauce all sooo yummy. 4 each was enough for our party of 40.


-We had guests that were vegan or vegetarian and they were able to accommodate for them which we so appreciated.


-we went with the premium open bar and it was worth it!



-Originally I wanted rugs for the aisle and Nay had a quote from a company they worked with $180 for 2 hours but the damage deposit was an extra $120 and I just didn’t think it was worth it for something people step on. I’m glad we didn’t spend the money because they had combed the beach before the ceremony and I worked block heels and had practiced walking in the sand. Dante ended up having two rugs just for the area under the alter and that’s all we needed.



We originally wanted to get married in Puerto Rico but we found the venues with food and open bar were priced around $15,000 (not including dj, photographer, videographer, flowers) which was out of our price-range. Mía is truly affordable and you get a kick-ass wedding coordinator to boot. You will not regret having your wedding here!

Mía's team was the best and I would highly recommend them for your wedding! The entire weekend, they were friendly, helpful, and made us and our guests feel special and like friends. They kept all areas clean, prepared, and no-one ever felt like they were 'waiting' on anything. We received so many compliments about the food and drinks from our guests (we actually received a video of one of our guests with tears in their eyes a week after because they were thinking about the desert served and how great it was).

The space was extremely flexible and allowed us to create different experiences for our welcome event, dinner, and reception to make each experience feel fresh and new. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience that takes away the stress from you, Mía is the place.

I am so glad we decided to go with Mia for our wedding venue. I emailed just about every venue on Tulum beach but our wedding planner, Dante, was the deciding factor. He was so experienced and thorough. I thought it would be stressful planning a wedding from another country but he made it very simple. Dante was there every step of the way for everything we needed. When we got to Mia we were not disappointed! We had a perfect mixture of beach and jungle for our pictures and the food was absolutely amazing.
