About

The Michigan Wildlife Conservancy is a wildlife restoration and conservation organization and event venue located in Bath, Michigan, also serving Grand Rapids. The venue is set on 259 acres, featuring four miles of trails and tunnels of trees. Picturesque surroundings and several gardens provide couples with a memorable setting to say “I do.”

Facilities and Capacity

The venue includes both indoor and outdoor spaces for your special day. The main building has a main deck as well as a second-floor wrap-around balcony for couples and their guests to enjoy. With natural lakefront views, two gazebos, a small pond, and numerous meadows, the venue offers a variety of outside choices for your event. A distinctive 3,600 square-foot glass-covered outdoor patio provides beautiful sky views and lighting options while also protecting your celebration from inclement weather. The outdoor patio can accommodate 300 guests, with the indoor hall’s space allowing for another 100.

The Michigan Wildlife Conservancy offers venue rental for weddings and other special events. To ensure your big day is as stress free as possible, the venue provides a list of preferred vendors. The perks of choosing from these professional vendors include their high levels of quality and service in addition to their knowledge regarding the venue’s regulations. Furthermore, these vendors have already completed the required paperwork necessary to work an event at the conservancy. Couples booking the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy for their wedding will also have access to the following services:

Such a Gorgeous Place to Get Married!

We got married in early October 2021 and had found the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy for our venue about a year before. Reasons that we booked it: #1: It is an absolutely gorgeous venue! There was little need for decoration because the venue really spoke volumes on it’s own. There are 3 different locations for the ceremony and so many beautiful places for photos. #2: Overall it was pretty handicap accessible (which is difficult to find in outdoor venues.) #3: It was able to be converted indoors in the event that it rained (which it did) but everything was still beautiful. #4: The price was right and you could accommodate a rather large wedding there. Our wedding was only 80 people, but had so much room to roam around, dance and enjoy. Brittany was great to work with overall. The bartender that worked our wedding was nice, understanding, and even remembered people’s drinks when they went back up for another round. My only complaint is you are charged extra for not using their vendors (Big ones like DJ, Cater, Photographer) and had to use their Bar set up and Bartenders. For us personally this was not a big deal, but may be for some. The extra charge for non preferred vendors was very not large. Was such a beautiful venue and I would pick it over and over again for our wedding if I had to!

September Wedding

I don’t even know where to start when it comes to this AMAZING place. The views, the cleanliness, the service, everything was top notch. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was a little difficult but Brittany was wonderful with all my questions and was so helpful before, during and after the wedding! Her assistant Alex went above and beyond with helping us the day of the wedding. I will recommend the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy over and over and one of the best parts is that we get to return to the wildlife pub and hang out where we got married!
