Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood is a barn and farm wedding venue located in Thurmont, Maryland. Situated among the Catoctin Mountains, it is on 165 acres of land spreading out around it. For an indoor ceremony, the Lodge makes for an intimate and inviting setting with its majestic fireplace and cozy ambiance. After the newlyweds have been pronounced and the confetti has been sprinkled, the wedding party can make their way towards one of the reception areas to continue the celebrations. Indeed, Mountain Memories at ThorpeWood can accommodate approximately 150 people for a reception at the Lodge. Here, dining, dancing, mingling, and revelry can take place as everyone joins in the speeches and toasts. When decorated accordingly with fairy lights, charming centerpieces, and floral displays, the place looks resplendent. Chiavari-style chairs and round tables are complemented by artificial spotlighting and natural light. Around the fireplace, the couple can enjoy their first dance as newlyweds while everyone takes photos. Other spaces available at the property include the Barn, willow pond, green spaces, as well as a special tree-planted garden.
