About

National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is a unique location to host your wedding event in Fort Worth, Texas. If you choose the museum as your wedding or reception venue, there will be plenty of features at the location to entertain your guests. Unlike having your wedding at a hotel or other banquet hall, the event space is within the actual museum, giving your guests the opportunity to explore the Hall of Fame, featured exhibits and the Spirit of the Cowgirl Theater. That’s not all, though. The event space also features exquisite design with a simple western elegance, making the location ideal for anyone who is looking to have a classic wedding in a less traditional location. The museum’s flexible galleries display cowgirl paintings and photography.

Facilities and Capacity

When you rent the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame for your event, you’re renting the galleries, theaters, lobby and rotunda. The Rotunda is an ideal space for your reception, as it looks great with a dance floor, features the Cowgirl Hall of Fame and images depicting cowgirl life. This space is filled with light and has a three-story ceiling. The Lobby can be used for additional seating and also works great for a bar area or entertainment area. The theater offers elegant, western decor and a projection system. It can be used for additional seating or for a buffet area. With each of these spaces available, the venue can accommodate up to 400 guests.

Services Offered

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame’s rental fees include various services, such as round tables, buffet tables, black chairs, table and chair setup, break down and on-site staff. For an additional fee, the museum can open the Western Gift Shop for your guests, where they can purchase souvenirs to remember your special day and their time at the museum. The venue requests that you use one of its preferred caterers, but if you have another that you’re interested in, the venue will consider it.

History

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is a unique place for any event. It’s the only museum in the world devoted to women of the American West. The archives contain information about more than 750 inspiring women, with the Hall of Fame honoring various pioneers, artists, writers, entertainers, humanitarians, business women, educators, ranchers and rodeo cowgirls. It began in 1975 and moved to Fort Worth in 1994. The museum started out small and was built with the vision of setting history straight and rewriting it to include the women of the American West who were largely forgotten or ignored. If you’d like to add some women’s empowerment and history to your big day, this is a great location for it.
