New Jersey Performing Arts Center is a wedding and event venue in Newark, New Jersey. The center started as an idea in 1986 by then Governor Thomas Kean that thought New Jersey deserved its own world-class performing arts center. The building would host the world’s greatest performers and act as a catalyst for revitalizing the state’s largest city. The center broke ground in 1993 and was designed by architect Barton Meyers. An opening celebration took place in 1997 and since then they have hosted nearly nine million visitors and reached more than 1.6 million children with innovative programs.

Facilities and Capacity
Prudential Hall and Victoria Theater are both directly accessible through the loading dock doors to make any set up and clean up needs simple. They each have a wardrobe room, performers lounge and a shared laundry area. Prudential Hall has built-in seating for more than 2,800 guests and can also host dinners on stage. Victoria Theatre has built-in theatre seating for more than 500 guests and can accommodate events on stage. Chase Room is a large open space with floor-to-ceiling windows and natural light. It is a beautiful space for receptions, dinners, luncheons and more. It can accommodate 270 guests for a dinner event, 200 guests for dinner and dancing, and 400 guests for a cocktail reception.
