Perfect venue - quintessential New York glamour

New-York Historical Society was originally not on our radar, but for our wedding (150 guests - ceremony/cocktails/dinner all onsite) they turned out to be beyond our wildest dreams in every area. Absolutely incredible!

It felt distinctive; very Manhattan; very historical and consequential; and gorgeous. Dinner under a giant Picasso, cocktails surrounded by Tiffany lamps, ceremony and later dancing next to stunning stained glass showing Henry Hudson's arrival in New York... these are just not the kinds of details you'll get at most venues. Abigail Kirsch catering a major plus.

Thank you to NYHS for giving us the wedding venue of our dreams!

Many of our guests were confused when they were told our wedding was in a museum, and now we are the ones surprised at how many calls we are getting from guests that they were delighted and impressed by how beautiful and sophisticated the New York Historical Society Museum was. We used Dexter Hall for the wedding ceremony, and the library for the reception.
