About Platypus Wine Tours

Platypus Wine Tours provides a social and lighthearted tour of the best Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley wineries. With a passionate guide and friendly guests, you’ll sip some of the world’s best wines and meet interesting people.

Each tour visits 4 wineries and includes a handmade picnic lunch to be enjoyed on the grounds of one of the wineries, with cheese and crackers and bottles of chilled water on the bus. We take your preferences into consideration when selecting the wineries to visit, and our goal is always to ensure a fun tour. We'll take you to some of the lesser known, family owned wineries in Napa or Sonoma where you'll be treated like close friends and have an experience that the bigger, commercial wineries can't offer.

Private tours are available with reservation, and we take special diets and food restrictions into consideration when preparing the picnic lunch. Our buses comfortably seat groups of 12, creating the perfect atmosphere for bachelorette parties, pre-wedding family tours and post-wedding sight-seeing tours.

I was recently married in Sonoma and we had set up a wine tour for our guests the day before the wedding. Platypus Tours coordinated the entire tour and they were fabulous. They set up a private ... Read more website so individuals could individually sign up and pay for their spot on the tour ahead of time which saved my family a lot of headache. Jaime was our lead tour guide and she was just great. She took great lengths to find two wineries that would be best suited for our group ahead of the date. On the day of everything went smoothly. The bus showed up on time and both wineries were completely prepared for us when we got there. The first one (I can't remember the name) had a private picnic area set up under a tent and staff ready to take care of us. The second winery was just as prepared and they were wonderful to interact with. Unfortunately for us it rained that day, but the weather didn't take away at all from the tour. I got so many compliments from our guests that went on the tour with who happy they were that they did that and how much fun it was. I would absolutely recommend Playtpus to anyone looking to schedule a tour - for big or small groups.
