The main event space is surrounded by several hundred acres of farmland and pastures, with stunning natural views from every corner. The Poplar Hill farmhouse was build in the 1790s, with most recent restorations dating back to 1950. The farm has its original character, but has been equipped with modern amenities for a modern affair. Whether you want an intimate Elopement or a Grand event, Poplar Hill is an ideal wedding venue for you.

Facilities and Capacity
Poplar Hill offers many acres of Virginia countryside speckled with crepe myrtles, boxwoods, and hackberry trees. From the outdoor reception space you can see the several acres of pastures, where Poplar Hill horses run through the fields. The wildflower and tree-filled acreage offer idyllic photo opportunities. Your ceremony can be held anywhere throughout the property. However, the staff can point you to several popular outdoor areas that offer enough clear space, picturesque scenery, and ideal daytime lighting. For the reception, Poplar Hill has built a large pavillion space overlooking the pastures. The pavilion has an extended patio and 900 square ft deck overlooking pastures, offering room for up to 350 guests. Though the house is not used for weddings or receptions, the bridal party will have access to parts of the house to use as a bridal suite.

Poplar Hill offers plenty of in-house services to help you plan the perfect wedding day. We offer a storage of gently used decor items available for you to use included with your booking. We also include 30 round tables and chairs with white linens in all wedding packages! Poplar Hill also offers an all-inclusive in-house catering service. We can provide buffet-style or plated meals, as well as hors d'oeuvres. The Poplar Hill staff will be present throughout your day, serving as either your wait staff or to ensure everything runs smoothly on your big day. We also offer 90 day + day of Wedding Coordination included in the Grand Event package or as an add-on to our other packages.
