A native North Carolinian, she was born and raised in the small town of Jacksonville, NC. Growing up, she had a passion for cakes (and food) that came naturally and later graduated from Johnson and Wales with her degree in Culinary Arts. When she started her business, she knew that freshness and the quality of the ingredients were just as important as the aesthetics of the cake. From the cakes, to the fillings and delicious buttercream, everything is made from scratch and is never frozen or made with pre-made ingredients. Absolutely no shortcuts!
