The Rainbow Banquet Room provides the perfect space for weddings, birthday parties, holiday parties, and class reunions.
Built in the 1940's by Bill Stone, the original structure was created with a foundation from the first Sandpatch Tunnel. The historic keystone marker from the east entrance of the Sandpatch Tunnel is still located in the basement. The stones are marked to this day with coal dust from the trains that used the Sandpatch Tunnel to travel through the first passage created in the Allegany Mountains in 1854. Purchased in 1978 by Jim Lishia, he operated the famous Rainbow Lounge in the late 70's and early 80's. The Rainbow Lounge was the most popular dance hall of it's time and drew patrons from not only Somerset County, but Allegany and Garrett County, MD. Reopened in 2009 as a banquet hall, the Rainbow is quickly becoming the most unique facility in the area to celebrate your special event. Keeping true to the original Art Deco style of the 1940's, the Rainbow Banquet Room has the WOW factor that everyone desires for their special event.
