She also serves people who are non-denominational, agnostic, or atheist, with ceremonies centered on the simple truth of love.
Rev Kate also loves working with couples who are looking for a creative elopement. Rev Kate is willing to hike to a mountaintop at sunrise, climb into a hot air balloon for a wedding in the air, or help you say your vows while getting tattooed!
The Process
After an initial phone consultation, Rev. Kate often meets with couples in person, if possible, for a more detailed ceremony design process (which can also happen by phone or video call). Kate can provide samples of readings, vows, and ceremony options for the couple to consider, and couples are encouraged to bring their own unique ideas of what they want for their wedding. After that meeting, Kate compiles a draft ceremony outline, and the couples are welcome to continue revising and providing input.
Kate is happy to attend the wedding rehearsal to help ensure that everyone involved is clear and informed about the necessary details. On the day of the wedding, Kate provides a grounded, professional presence that helps to ease any stress or nervousness. Afterward, she completes and mails in the marriage license, and provides the couple with a copy of the text of their unique wedding ceremony.
