Ruby grew up in a small steel town north of Pittsburgh. Her father was a jazz trumpet player and taught Ruby to sing at the age of 5. Performing jazz by the age of 14, Ruby has an understanding of musical sensibility and improvisation. Her vocal style and performance is highly influenced by the jazz greats of the 30s and 40s. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, Ruby loves rearranging songs from her youth into a new genre, Retro Pop Fusion. She currently resides in San Antonio, Texas and can be seen performing with her band The Bonafide Playboys. Our style can perfectly accommodate your idyllic wedding reception.
