I was originally a bit nervous when Sam reached out to me and asked my boyfriend and I to shoot with her. I am sort of awkward and uncomfortable around cameras, and I usually feel like I don't photograph well or naturally. Sam totally put me at ease! She really knew how to connect with us, and connect us as a couple - she gave us comfortable directions to making natural photography magic happen! I wasn't feeling self-conscious at all, and when those moments happened where we felt like we did not know what to do with our hands, Sam was there with helpful positioning, easy laughs, and useful pointers. The images are so beautiful! I am so grateful for the photos she took of us and the way she successfully captured our unique love. The photos are picture-perfect memories of being at ease with each other and at ease in a situation we are not normally so comfortable with. If you're on the fence about hiring Sam, let this review change your mind - CALL HER!! She is professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares so much about what she does. If she can deliver such lovely photos to me and my awkward self in 90 degree Texas heat, she can surely deliver gorgeous photos to you in whatever way you're wanting to :)

For us, we were incredibly nervous about having photos of us taken. I think our biggest challenge was just having this unreasonable fear that we'd be stuck in place like mannequins and told to pose in ways that were unnatural to us and unnatural to our relationship. Thank goodness Samantha didn't ask us to do a single thing that felt even close to unnatural. We loved the speech about love and relationships that she gave us before she started shooting and we loved that she encouraged us to keep eye-contact with each other the whole time. It made us feel more connected with each other and eased whatever nerves we had left. In fact, we spent the majority of our session just giggling and laughing and having an all-around good time. It was magical and that magic made itself apparent in the photos! If you are on the fence about hiring Samantha, don't be. She's absolutely amazing, a real sweetheart, and every second of our session was a fantastic experience!

This is by far one of my most favorite shoots I’ve ever done. Samantha really is amazing to work with. She’s very experienced and it shows in the perfection of her work! I’d say the biggest challenge probably would’ve been the 30 minute drive, considering it was at the Sandhills, but we made it work even with the sun going down so fast, and the pictures came out AMAZING! We were able to get some beautiful sunlit shots along with capturing the dusk sky and moon. It really set the mood and she of course was able to capture the essence of every photo! I highly recommend Samantha Schaub Photography for those affectionate/elopement and daring shots! 🥰
