Owner Sarah Lucia grew up in the Dominican Republic in a family that was surrounded by chefs, which caused her to get immersed into the culinary arts at a young age. In her hometown she played a role in several well-known restaurants in the city and was trained by mentor Vincent Lacan, a Cocoa Barry Ambassador for Latin America. In 2014, she moved to Miami to pursue Sarahlu Confections, building her clientele little by little through word of mouth. She has now refined her pastry skills and specializes in cake design for all.
