I can’t say enough amazing things about working with Melissa. She’s cool, funny, responds immediately, gets you sneak peaks in less than 24 hours and she’s an absolutely incredible artist and the best photographer I’ve personally ever experienced. Maybe I’m biased because she shot my wedding but all my friends also agree. She captures the moment perfectly with no need for a second shot. I have trouble finding my favorite picture because every picture she took is amazing, unique and special! I feel so blessed that she captured both our rehearsal dinner and wedding perfectly! We had the best experience with Melissa and Sava Studio and cannot recommend her and Michael enough. We had a limited budget and an unusual schedule for our wedding day (morning ceremony and evening reception), but Melissa worked with us to create a plan that was within our budget and allowed us to capture everything we wanted on the day. We had several initial phone calls and meetings to establish what we were looking for and Melissa and Michael took the time to understand our vision for the day, offering helpful insight and advice from their experience shooting weddings. Their professionalism and flexibility upfront were enough for a five-star rating; their ability to deliver great photos on a quite chaotic wedding day sealed the deal. Nothing went according to our plans on our wedding morning (rain, difficult vendors), but Melissa arrived on time and quickly adapted to our completely changed schedule and the frantic last-minute chaos. She captured everything we requested and then some, putting us at ease despite the disruptions that morning. Melissa was a calming presence throughout the morning, stepping in when necessary, and working quietly to capture the day autonomously when we were pulled away by vendors or guests. Her easygoing and engaging way of prompting us for photos helped us sink into the moment despite all else. We had the same experience with Michael, who photographed our evening reception. Our plans were once again different from what we expected, but Michael easily adapted and got wonderful photos of the guests, speeches, mingling, and dinner. He seamlessly worked in and around the bustle of the event to give us all the photos we asked for and more. Melissa sent over a great preview very soon after the event and the rest of the photos came a week later. The resulting photos are better than we could have imagined. Overall we could not be happier and would strongly recommend Sava Studio to anyone for their events. You can rest assured that they will deliver for you, no matter what challenges come up on the day. Melissa and Michael felt more like collaborators that were working with us through the event, while other vendors felt like factors to be navigated. We used Melissa from Sava Weddings for our wedding at Tanglewood, and she did an AMAZING job! From candid getting-ready photos, to the ceremony and reception, she made sure to capture every important moment. She was also really great at managing our time to wrangle family for portraits, and she never got caught up in the chaos of the day. I've attended weddings where the photo team can be obtrusive, but Melissa seamlessly and gracefully did her thing without making it feel awkward or affecting our experience! In fact, she was a joy to hang out with and her presence only added to the big day. She is kind, funny, smart, and super supportive--everything you could want during such a busy but exciting time! After the wedding, Melissa sent us our sneak peek photos within 24 hours, and we were so pleased to see that they were absolutely beautiful. She really listened to what we wanted regarding the photo style and important moments. A few weeks later, we received our entire gallery, and were so thrilled with the results! Further, it was super easy to order prints on her website. I cannot recommend Sava Weddings enough--Melissa is THE best choice for your important day!
