Ron Prior brings over (2) decades of DJ entertainment experience to his new professional home at SEH Entertainment. Ron has served as musical host for hundreds of wedding receptions since the mid-nineties. Additionally, Ron has performed at many Bat/Bar Mitzvah celebrations, private parties, and countless corporate functions alike. Ron has garnered a reputation as an enthusiastic, ultra-professional performer who skillfully blends the right mixture of music and entertainer interaction to ensure your special occasion is a raving success!

Ron’s love of music at an early age served as the catalyst for his future DJ career as he began “spinning the jams” for various fraternity functions on the campus of his alma mater, Union College. Shortly after graduating in 1992, Ron began performing at picnics, private parties, and eventually weddings. With little or no marketing efforts, Ron’s schedule began to fill quickly just by word-of-mouth referrals from a sustained track record of highly successful events. The ensuing years of performing and honing his craft took Ron to long-distance destinations such as New York City, The Hamptons, Lake Tahoe, and Montreal just to name a few.

Ron looks forward to bringing his passion and extensive experience to the SEH Entertainment organization. Jamie Parkes started his career in the hospitality industry over 15 years ago. During that time, Jamie Has worked for several well-known hotels and convention centers in New Jersey, New York City, Orlando, FL and Albany, NY and has coordinated events from group celebrations of 10-350 people, large corporate events up to 3500 people and conventions with sit-down dinners of 10,000 people.

Jamie moved back to the Capital District about 3 years ago when he made the natural transition to the entertainment industry, something he was destined to do. Now Jamie combines his love of music and entertainment with his previous extensive experiences in the hospitality industry for your next event.

Jamie is passionate, energetic and interactive with an uncanny ability to read the crowd. From the most elegant wedding to the most casual backyard celebration, Jamie is client-focused and adapts the event and the interaction level to the client’s or guest of honor’s needs. Jamie creates a partnership from the initial meeting with his clients often leading to lasting relationships and repeat business.

I have been a DJ in the local area since 1986 and have done everything from private parties to lavish weddings. I love what I do and am interactive at every event. I will travel anywhere and have all types and styles of music from the 1920s to all current artists. I am fully insured and I KNOW I can make your special event a memory to last a lifetime!

In the previous years I was a regular at my brother’s nightclub so I acquired a large range of music knowledge even before I first performed. I have seen the music industry from records to tapes to CDs to computer. I used all of these. I tailor all of my events to the client FIRST. I am happily married to my wife Lisa and I have a teenage son Charlie and currently reside in Diamond Pt NY.

We also cater to your guest’s diversity with Italian, Irish, Asian, Indian, Latin, or Polish classics. Whatever your background, we have something to please everyone. We will provide you with a request form to tell us about your favorite music. We’ll also honor your “do not play list”. We can say with confidence that not all DJ services bring as wide a selection to your event as we do. If by some chance we don’t have a song that you ask for, we’ll make every effort to acquire it before your event.
