About
Erin Brooks:
Erin Brooks is a native Portlander who spent 4 sunny years in Southern California, lived in Spain, and now makes her home with her husband Ben, her brand new baby girl Sloane, and her two cats Mojito and Gimlet, in Seattle, Washington. She has a degree from Scripps College in Hispanic Studies, a classical dance background, and a lifetime love of fashion and beauty.
Serephine: Serephine began in June, 2010, after Erin searched high and low for a headpiece that was elegant, simple and had a superior level of craftsmanship, for her own wedding. Her designs received immediate attention, praise and press, and since then have become part of many brides' special days! She uses top quality fabrics, Swarovski rhinestones, presses her own petals in a traditional millinery style, and uses high-quality, beautifully dyed feathers. She is completely self-taught and continues learning new skills, working with new materials, creating and designing because it truly is her passion to provide the best. She never uses pre-formed elements such as pre-made fabric flowers, and instead, every single hairpiece is meticulously handcrafted, layer by layer and petal by petal, out of loose materials, in a free-form style, ensuring they are each unique, top quality and completely gorgeous before they go out the door. ¿Preguntas? 1 Endorsementoooohh the artfulness that surrounds serephine! i absolutely LOVE having a bride feel so done up and complete in her look, the moment she puts on one of serephine's pieces. hair accessories add so much dimension, and a touch of playfulness, to both a casual or elegant wedding. photographing a bride who is obviously so happy with the way she looks, is a huge advantage for us as photographers :) and serephine's pieces really truly help! i'm a HUGE fan and i highly recommend serephine to my brides. thank you for what you do, erin! ~Alice
