Sheperd Hill Estate which is currently under new management is a breath taking beautiful place to have a wedding. The massive house with all its antiques provide the best background for pictures, not to mention the 42 acres that surround it. We had an outside wedding but there is also a sunroom that can be used as well. The reception hall is huge with glass windows all around. Sammie, the current owner, transforms the outside gazebo or the sunroom to your liking and makes any type of center pieces you like for the reception. She worked long and hard with us on getting colors and flowers to make it a picture perfect day. She also has a wonderful crew of caters! The cakes that we had turned out fabulous and were delicious, so much that we hardly had any to take home. Not to mention the great idea of a candy bar that tied the whole cake table together and was just stunning. The dinner was so good that we didn't have thing left over, it was mouth watering. The grounds are just stunning and make for a great escape from the daily hustle and bustle. I enjoyed every trip I made out there, to just take in the quiet and the beauty. It’s hard to have any negative reviews of the venue, but if I had to pick one. Sammie works mostly by herself, has a few that help here and there, but she stays very busy and sometimes things get pushed to the last minute. In the end, Sammie always delivered her best, regardless of the many hours of work. If you are even considering an outside wedding or inside or just need a reception hall, then you need to go see Sammie and all that Sheperd Hill Estate has to offer. I think you will be blown away with all its beauty as well as the affordability. More than pleased with our whole wedding experience. ( wedding date was 5/14/11 not 5/28 not sure why that is showing up wrong)

Having my wedding at Shepard Hill was such a wonderful experience!! I live in Dallas, Tx so I thought trying to plan a wedding in Willis, Tx would be very stressfull, but Debbie made it so easy!! She was always quick to respond to my emails. Anytime I was in town she was flexible to meet with me. She was organized and very helpful!! She made my wedding a dream come true, and it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!! The food was delicious, the flowers were beautiful, the ceremony site and reception hall were breathtaking, and her staff was wonderful!! I highly recommend Shepard Hill Estate!!

The Shepard Hill Estate did a great job for my daughters wedding. They are awesome.
