Smoke Rise Village Inn is an elegant country wedding venue located in Kinnelon, New Jersey. Blending old-world charm with modern grandeur, the historic venue features a cobblestone courtyard and beautiful gardens. The inn was originally built in 1892 as a community farming structure. Following years as a thriving dairy business, the space was turned into a successful restaurant in 1947. For over 65 years, it has provided couples with fine cuisine and exceptional service and is the perfect location for an unforgettable experience.
Facilities and Capacity
Smoke Rise Village Inn comfortably accommodates a maximum of 175 wedding guests and specializes in intimate weddings. The venue's Main Ballroom features neutral tones, clean lines, and a chandelier, and can be customized to suit each couple's preferences. If you prefer to dine al fresco, a brick courtyard outside has tables with umbrellas and is surrounded by lush greenery. This is also a serene spot to enjoy cocktails and canapes before the reception dinner. In addition, a cobblestone front yard makes for a beautiful backdrop for photographs with loved ones. Ceremonies are held by the nearby lake or in the vibrant and colorful gardens.

For a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, in-house catering includes tastings, servers, a Tuscany table, hors d'oeuvres, and much more. Here at Smoke Rise I handle the booking, planning, execution, day of coordination - so basically it's me from start to finish - for private events and weddings.
Fun fact - I also had my wedding here at Smoke Rise (pre employment so no, I didnt give myself a discount :)) but clearly, it's a place that I find special. I have opened and managed several restaurants around NJ prior to dedicating myself to events and weddings 6 years ago. Every couple has a different vision of their perfect day so to me - customizing and tailoring each wedding is important. I am very hands on and involved in the entire process and pride myself on being responsive.
If you are looking for a one of a kind unique venue where your wedding is not a number - come by and visit!
