Wow wow wow, where do we even start? Sophie is not just a photographer. She creates art via the medium of photography, and is a true artist to the core. This creation is accomplished through digital and analog formats. When I think of a creative, but also a professional who is reliable, I think of Sophie. We felt so comfortable every step of the way with Sophie. Our initial consultation helped us feel more understood, and set proper expectaton for the road ahead. From there, I feel like Sophie understood our desires, but also stayed true to her artistic vision-which is what we hired her for in the first place! The results she has produced are immaculate. These timeless photos are future heirlooms, and we are so glad we love them as much as we loved working with her! We could not recommend Sophie more strongly!

From the second we did our initial call with her, we knew we'd found our photographer. We loved her style, her warm personality, she asked great and highly detailed questions (which appealed to my OCD planning streak) and was just so easy to talk to. She made all our planning a breeze!

She flew from the Bay Area to San Diego for a quick day trip to shoot our engagement photos and just reconfirmed that we'd made the right choice. Her style is fun and comfortable, she caught so many beautiful candids, and even when having us pose for photos made it an easy process and gave great cues if she needed us to shift a little. When the photos arrived, we were obsessed!

Then Covid hit and she only continued to exceed expectations. She helped me through multiple iterations of our wedding as we shrank our guest list from 100 to 50 to a 15 person micro-wedding and was so sweet and understanding.

When the day came, she made sure I had a few minutes alone to breathe and decompress, ensured we ran on time, caught all the candid surprise moments I'd ever dreamed of having and then some. Oh, knowing that we had to shrink the wedding so drastically, she also shot video clips on Super8 film to ensure that we'd have some video to share with friends who couldn't be there!

I would not hesitate to hire Sophie again in a heartbeat, we're so happy with our photos, love her aesthetic, and strongly recommended her to all our friends.
