Split Oak Swing Band

Split Oak Swing Band is a professional ensemble based out of Richmond, Virginia that’s available for weddings and other special events. This premier band consists of four horns, a bass, a guitar, drums, and vocals. They specialize in high fidelity swing and jazz music for your cocktail hour and reception, and they also play love ballades and the traditional wedding marches for your ceremony. Experience
Johnny Bender is the band leader, lead singer, and will act as your MC. He has over three decades of performing experience, and specializes in jazz, swing, and pop standards. Johnny is a classically trained singer and pianist with a Bachelor of Arts in music from Cornell University, and a Masters of Music in choral conducting from Central Michigan University School of Music.
