The George and Madcap Lounge is a luxurious venue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for weddings and nuptial events. The sophisticated space of The George, with its elegant ballroom, soaring windows and ceilings, 19th-century architectural elements and modern finery, will suit gatherings on both intimate and grand scales. We invite you to take a tour – you will find there is nothing ordinary about The George. Adornments include plush velvet drapes, crystal chandeliers, and a curated art collection featuring Wisconsin artists.

Need to get ready for your event? Plush and refined, with cushy seating and magnificent dressing mirrors, the Celebration Suite offers the perfect place. A powder room and well-stocked refrigerator (champagne, anyone?) round out the amenities in this very special suite, which accommodates 20 guests and offers secure storage for belongings. The Celebration Suite is complimentary with The George rental, but is also available on its own for small gatherings such as dress fittings, showers and more.
Drawing inspiration from a London club, the Madcap Lounge is a walk-down within the National Block building and just one floor removed from The George. Thoughtfully designed to offer guests a thoroughly unique and intimate experience, the space is made up of multiple vignettes. Imagine sipping bourbon in the library, indulging in healthy conversation over a game of billiards or sampling craft cocktails at the bar. Like The George, the lounge will feature works by vintage and contemporary Wisconsin artists.
The Madcap Lounge is available as a complement to The George or on its own and can accommodate parties of up to 200. Space within the lounge may be partitioned to create the desired atmosphere. Also perfect for corporate meetings and post-meeting dinner/cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners and other special celebrations.

Beautiful Venue, Outstanding Service
We had such a wonderful time and could not have picked a better venue. Michelle (the event coordinator) was incredibly responsive and took all of our minor changes easily in stride. Everyone who worked the event was kind and diligent. Beyond service, the venue itself is beautiful and we received many compliments from guests. The bridal suite was wonderful to get ready in. Could not have imagined a better place to get married!

With a personal philosophy of “you don’t ask, you don’t get” and an insatiable need to succeed Jaime Peterson brings her many years of experience to Saz’s Hospitality Group as Sales Team Manager.
During a stint of working in radio sales after college, she met a client who asked her to join their team and she’s been in hospitality ever since. Jaime loves to think outside the box and strives to be original in all that she does. With this tenacity, she coaches and leads SHG’s internal sales team to new heights. She encourages her team to “stop running on the hamster wheel” and really explore “the field” to better understand the market, our clients, and more. Jaime believes that sales is not just about selling, and hospitality is more than just being order takers; it’s in making new connections and nurturing those she already has. She takes a very proactive approach, promotes team collaboration, bringing fresh ideas to the table, and building relationships with our clients (new or existing).
Outside of the office, Jaime enjoys spending time with her kids, gardening, exercising, and travel. Her personal belief of “you don’t ask, you don’t get” has led her to pursue many interesting adventures, such as trying out for the reality television show “The Apprentice,” receiving a wrestling scholarship in high school, and securing a change in a Wisconsin Law (Peterson vs Volkswagen of America). Jaime’s determination and passion make her a great addition to “The Finest” team in hospitality.
