The Mansion on Delaware Avenue is a luxury wedding and reception venue in Buffalo, New York. The historic mansion-turned-hotel is the perfect setting for weddings that aim to blend historic and modern elements. Facilities and Capacity
The Mansion can accommodate up to 168 seated guests or 200 with serving stations for your reception in the beautiful Grand Salon. It boasts 15-foot floor-to-ceiling windows bringing natural light for incredible photos. The Salon includes a fireplace, white oak wainscoting, ornate wood carvings and an adjacent private terrace. The Library offers an intimate feel, with its own fireplace, bright windows and historic details.

Couples will work with the staff at The Mansion to design the perfect wedding. They will help you decide on floral arrangements, music, photography and all other wedding details. In addition to help with wedding planning, The Mansion on Delaware Avenue offers in-house catering and bar services.

History
Renovated by architect George M. Allison as the Second Empire Structure, The Mansion on Delaware Avenue was originally a private residents built in 1869 and called The House of Light due to its many, many windows. The exterior of the building is registered with the Historical Society for the preservation of George Allison's 19th century American Gothic Second Empire design.

Beautiful Place for a Reception

The venue was the perfect setting for our wedding of just under 100 guests. It was intimate but the tables weren't on top of each other. Having the cocktail hour outside on the terrace was absolutely ... Read more beautiful. The butlers serving wine and appetizers was a nice touch. The food was outstanding and the dessert table display was phenomenal. The menu had a variety of options including Buffalo favorites & twists on classic comfort food. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Soup Shooters was a crowd favorite. The staff and the coordinators that we worked with were wonderful. They were responsive to our requests and emails were answered in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend this venue.

We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at The Mansion in July 2016. What an elegant setting for an unforgettable event. The decor, atmosphere and food were perfect as was the staff. Superb and ... Read more attentive assistance in planning everything. The gardens provided a great location for the cocktail hour with valet parking and a saxophonist providing a great backdrop. A special place for an memorable event.
