The Newton is a historic venue located in Phoenix, Arizona. Ideally situated near the light rail, midtown, and downtown districts. This venue formerly served as the Beef Eaters restaurant, and was part of an innovative adaptive reuse project which enabled multiple tenants to utilize the space and bolster the surrounding community. Even though it has shifted uses, it still carries the name of the original founder, Jay Newton.

Facilities and Capacity
This mixed-use concept space features two indoor spaces. Many of the original space's features have been adapted for the current venue, providing plenty of charm.

Our larger space is The Commons. This is our main event space and can comfortably host weddings with up to 50 guests. Your backdrop will include cozy features like an exposed brick fireplace and antique chandeliers. You'll also have access to First Draft Book Bar for beverages throughout your reservation.

We always book The Commons and our smaller room in tandem for weddings. The smaller space is just steps down a short hallway, and can serve as a Bridal and/or wedding party suite or staging area.

Services Offered
The Newton venue is best suited for pre and post ceremony gatherings, including engagement parties, wedding showers, rehearsal dinners, and receptions. We do host some smaller weddings with ceremony and reception included, though we recommend a site tour if this is something you may be interested in.

You will have access to the venue’s tables, chairs, and audio/ visual equipment. Some details can be requested and special ordered. We are happy to help you coordinate the details, though we do require a day-of coordinator in order to book this venue.
