Hello! I'm Dianna and welcome to my hand-lettering studio! I am a self-taught and passionate hand calligrapher based out of the Philadelphia area, specializing in modern dip pen calligraphy.

There was a time my passion involved "saving the earth" and so I studied ecology and resource conservation in college and have developed a career in environmental science for over ten years. But to be honest, the lack of creativity in my day-to-day, and years spent in a gray cubicle left me longing for something more gratifying. (Plus I realized I was never going to save the earth!)

My passion for dip pen calligraphy sprung out of a hobby that I simply fell in love with. Before I realized it, I knew this is what I wanted to do and was set to make it my career.The Paperly Studio's Mission is to be the go-to choice for unique hand-lettered art and to exceed your expectations. And quite simply…to be awesome!

In addition to my work at The Paperly Studio, I am a single mother, and an aspiring photographer. I absolutely adore my family and so much of my drive is inspired by their influence and support. We love all things outdoors, all things food/wine/coffee and time spent with family and friends. Bonfires, cookouts, hikes and taking my daughter on adventures. One creative step led to another and here I am.
