The historic Schmidt House was built in 1904 for Leopold F. Schmidt, founder of the Olympia Brewing Company, his wife and their six children. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Tumwater Register of Historic Places and is located whithin the Tumwater Historic District.
Centrally located the House has picturesque grounds with native gardens, bronze statues and reflective pool are beutifully maintained and offer a spacious, private location for your wedding day. Picturesque photograph backdrops both inside and out.
This wedding venue includes 150 white wedding folding chairs, 48inch round tables, six foot buffet tables, and a residential kitchen . Private bride and groom dressing areas are also available. Outdoor tents (white framed) are also avaiable at discounted pricing through our tent vendor.
The Schmidt House is owned and operated by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation a non-profit whose mission is to offer educational opportunities, a historic home and a community park to honor our history and celebrate our future!
