The Finch House is a wedding and event venue in Thomasville, North Carolina. Our Renaissance Revival mansion is 7,000 square feet and was built in 1921. It sits on 1.5 acres of land in the middle of historic downtown Thomasville.
Facility and Capacity
The first floor of the mansion has four main rooms for entertaining and can accommodate 100 guests. The library features hand-carved rosewood walls and trim. It can accommodate 70 guests. There are two large master bedrooms on the second floor. One is a bridal suite and features a mirrored walk-in closet. The other master bedroom is a groom’s suite and features a lounge area and pool table. The mansion is equipped with a full-service catering kitchen and a separate entrance. The backyard features a large cobblestone terrace and is covered by a large tent. The outdoor terrace can accommodate 200 guests. The Carriage House has a full-service bar and lounge area and an indoor dance floor. The property also has a private parking lot to accommodate all your guests.
Services Offered
The Finch House weekend package allows access to the house and grounds from Friday at 4 p.m. to 10 pm and Saturday at noon to 10 p.m. This allows for a rehearsal dinner, decor set up, and vendor access before your wedding day begins. The weekend package includes tables and chairs for 100 guests. You can also rent the outdoor area and carriage house for an additional fee. The Finch House can host your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, engagement party, showers, and other wedding events. Their event coordinator can work with you to ensure all your details are in place for a perfect wedding day. They are a full-service venue so that you can enjoy your stress-free day.

Susanna has a true love for hospitality and coordinating weddings and events. She graduated from UNCG's Hospitality and Tourism program with honors. From there she went on to work at Colonial Williamsburg, The O'Henry Hotel, Maxie B's, and several venues before joining The Finch House team. Susanna loves to take care of all the details so that your big day is stress free!
We are a husband and wife team that own and operate the Finch House. Hospitality and event planning is in our blood and we both enjoy creating special moments for our guests. We make it a point to be on-site for all our events to make sure that you are treated like family and that things go smoothly. Andrew has spent his professional career renovating historic homes and Hilary is an artist.
